Born and raised in The Hague at the west coast of the Netherlands , Robin got his first interest in music at the age of 12 when he started to learn electronic instruments.

After a few years, at the age of 18 he became interested in house music when he heard it being played at the local radio station in The Hague .

While out clubbing late one night in The Hague , Robin heard a talented DJ by the name of Remy. Fuelling his interest in this very special sound, soon he started buying vinyl and learns the mixing techniques. In a short time he had gigs at some local school parties.

Although getting an excellent feel for the music, Robin still felt empty. After watched a live performance of the duo Pako and Frederik, Robin decided he want to perform his own music on stage too. Around 1998 he decided that he would take a different approach to things, bought his first set of production equipment, and began to produce his own music.

Two years later he had his debut release as Fitalic (maybe you'll remember it: “Daytripper / Unbalanced”). The Hague could now add another name to its list of producers along with the likes of international greats such as, Sander Kleinenberg, DJ Remy, Pako & Frederik, and Roland Klinkenberg.
