Balthazar & JackRock are well known artists based in Bulgaria's capital ñ Sofia. Their career began in mid 90s and since then they have performed in numerous clubs and venues all over Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. Their sound is diverse and charged with energy. The duo has released original tracks and remixes on respected labels such as 1605, Respekt, Armada, IAMT, Neurotraxx, Driving Forces, Human Garden, Bosphorus Underground, Binary 404, Beat Therapy and many others, which frequently entered Beatport's charts. Their production has been supported by top artists including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sharam, Umek, Mark Knight, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Spartaque, Cristian Varela, etc.

In 2008 JackRock received the award ìBest South-Eastern European Producerî. In 2010 and 2011 Balthazar was voted "Best Bulgarian Techno/Minimal DJ of the Year", and in 2012 he was #2.

Back in 1999 Balthazar & JackRock started their events agency Renesanz. During the last few years Renesanz has organized gigs with over 150 international artists. In 2010 Renesanz became also an independent record label, focusing on techno sound.
